What I do at Scum
when people have a dream, especially for ministry, I dream with them, talk, plan, scheme, encourage, coach...it’s all about Ephesians 4:12. Technically it’s called leadership development, and overseeing small groups and Progerian. Some combination of cheerleader, sheep-dog, and reconnaissance comes to mind.
Why I Work at Scum
BEST CHURCH ON EARTH! No church is perfect, but I like our problems–they come from taking big risks, loving people without conditions, being loosely enough organized to respond quickly to the Spirit’s lead, not taking ourselves too seriously, taking God extremely seriously and expecting him to be true to ALL his Word.
Favorite Books
OK, I’m in the middle of a PhD dissertation, so cut me some slack. I read stuff on consumerism, church leadership, missions, and community. For fun–well, for fun, I spend a day NOT reading.
Favorite Movies
any movie where the plot turns and twists so you can’t tell who’s good and who’s bad.
Favorite Albums
I will listen to anything that’s meaningful to someone I know.
HOW ABOUT MY FAVORITE PASTIME?
Which would definitely by traveling, and experiencing life through the eyes of others.
