What I do at Scum
The books, pastor stuff, and, um, etc.

Why I follow Christ
Doing what Jesus says is the only thing that will make the world better. All the other philosophies(straight edge, Buddhism, etc. and communism on a whole different level) have limits to their goodness, ‘yourself’ in most cases. Jesus’ actions and ours, if we can follow, don’t stop at self-help; they have the impetus to infect evil with goodness. It’s truly a better world in the making and not just slowing evil down. And it makes for an interesting and vivid life.

Why I Work at Scum
Jesus was obviously and staunchly ‘outside the box’ and he was and is the best thing this world can hope in. Not fitting in the box itself, Scum, similarly, has more potential for positive change by identifying with and following Jesus, especially in North America. Change comes about by outcasts but outcasts are largely ignored so strategy and comradery are needed to catalyze effects. I try to develop that at Scum.
