Why I follow Christ
Jesus Christ is my hope – my only hope. He is, and has proven, to be the only way for life eternally with God. I follow Him because I find faithfulness, love, peace, and joy in Him. In Him I am find my reason and purpose for life.

Why I Work at Scum
The Scum community is authentic in a way that I have not experienced at other places. Usually, people who come to Scum are looking for God and for His people. Scum of the Earth Church is honest about its dependence on the love and grace of God, in Christ Jesus, to be His people. I appreciate that we are a Church who understands this, and this is the greatest thing I think we have to offer people!

Favorite Books
I have to go with authors rather than books… Maya Angelou, Jonathan Kozol, Jane Austen, Donald Miller, Ruth Haley Barton, N.T. Wright, Miroslav Volf, Henri Nouwen, C.S. Lewis.

Favorite Movies
Honestly, there are not many movies I’d like to see again and again and again. However, these are the handful that I can: Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart, Sense and Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice (A&E version), & Dead Poets Society.

Favorite Albums
Currently I’m listening to Gregory Alan Isakov That Sea, the Gambler, Fernando Ortega The Shadow of Your Wings, Dan Craig Skin Grows Thin…
